Slap Me In The Face
Christian's daughter Amanda got tired of lying around in the grass outside Joakim's tool shed when daddy was recording vocals. Said and done - a microphone was set up and Amanda "took it away" in her very own way. Her improvisation suited real good as in intro to Joakim's vocal debut although the title might cause a stir what we actually did to the child, hmm. She actually sounds that way when kicking back, no kidding.

Joakim screams his vocals cords off, and doing it very well. It's like good old Spinal Tap who don't need mikes since they play so darn loud everything get on tape anyway. The man is not your everyday rock'n'roll singer - Roberto, Ia and Hasse had to use every trick in the book when mixing Sjöberg properly. Every EQ on Earth was used so you, the dear listener, can crank up "Slap Me in the Face" without blowing your speakers (and ears). (Note: when the click track was programmed there was a serious math lesson when figuring out how to count the damn middle part).
Lyrics:
Got the will of a jellyfish
I merely float around
My state of mind, my mental health
Is everything but sound
Never asleep, never awake
Living in a haze
Used to be downright concerned
This brain has seen better days

Don´t give a damn ´bout anything
Rape, murder, child abuse or ethnic cleansing

Do you remember me?
This wasn´t supposed to be...

Focus on the most trivial things
Stuck in the daily grind
The urban life is killing me
Where can I buy some peace of mind?

Don´t give a damn ´bout anything
Rape, murder, child abuse or ethnic cleansing

Do you remember me?
This wasn´t supposed to be...

Slap me in the face ´til I wake up
Slap me in the face ´til I wake up
I suffer from an o.d of indifference
So slap me in the face ´til I wake up
